This is a follow up to Colt Woodsman/Pre-Woodsman thread, which drifted into a discussion of nickel Woodsmans. Some interest was expressed in seeing photos, so here goes. Other than the parts clean up of the 1980s, I am aware of only three post-WWII shipments of factory nickel plated Woodsmans...

Shortly after World War II, from Oct, 1946 to June, 1947 a number of prewar type guns were assembled and shipped. Some were numbered in the 157038 to 159024 range.
